Learning from the Land offers a range of training days for employees and other stakeholders, involving practical hands-on tasks to achieve a given project within the timeframe.

Our current training days include:

Building a Cob Pizza Oven - This can be done at your place of work for future use as a social meeting place. An opportunity to talk about healthy eating too.
Rainwater Harvesting - A great way to introduce sustainability in a fun but practical way – demonstrating creative thinking about resource use.
Working with Natural Paints - Taught by a leading expert of making and using natural paints and other finishes, this day combines the practical with the visually creative.
How to Build a Compost Loo - This could be done for your workplace, for a nearby community facility such as local allotments.

Other optional extras:

Guided walks around the neighbouring parishes or on the Quantock Hills
Owl visit from local Hawk and Owl Trust specialist, Chris Sperring
Top quality evening meal out at award-winning Restaurant, Clavelshay Barn.
